Abstract

Ukrainian ethnomusicologist Oleksandr Tereshchenko (Олександр Терещенко) examines peculiarities of poetic texts and melodic lines from his own ethnic regions folk songs about cossack life (козацькi пiснi) throughout the context of their musical stylistics diversity in his article. As the object of such investigations we find here the singing folklore materials, recorded by author of the article and his colleagues during numerous his folklore field works, provided at the Kirovohrad (Кiровоград) region localities in the period of last three decades. The basic ratio of poetic texts and melodic lines from actual Ukrainian folk songs are given in the conclusions, together with proposition to rethink the correctness and rightness of particular genre attributes here.
