Abstract
The ethnic ties on the Baltic and Slavic musical folklore are shown and examined on the base of Lithuanian wedding folk song “Sėskis, sesute, sėskis, jaunoji” and its parallels in Polish, Belarusian and Ukrainian folk songs heritage sources. Clear examples of analogue or relative variants of actual songs are presented here, and common features of their poetic texts and melodic lines peculiarities are explored as well. We see much closer analogues in poetic texts here to compare with parallels in melodic lines hereby. The hypothesis about possible great number of such Lithuanian (Baltic) and Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, etc. (Slavic) folk songs relative variants is declared, certifying their common historical sources and relative ethnic roots.
