Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss what changes ESG, which is also introduced by public organizations for sustainability, will bring when it is introduced into national and public museums and to suggest a direction for it to proceed. To this end, I first summarize ESG and the concept of sustainability or sustainable development, and the times and theoretical background when national and public museums had no choice to introduce ESG concept contemplate. In addition, among the museum's unique functions, it was predicted by focusing on the operation of the exhibition and education fields, which are the museum's main roles and functions. This paper can understand in detail the background of the introduction of ESG into national and public museums. And it is significant in that it studied the comprehensive impact by predicting in advance what changes will occur in the exhibition and education operation, which are the main roles and functions of the museum.
