Abstract

The national economic and social transformation ensures the formation of a new economic system, the core of which is a combination of the mechanism of competition and state regulation, which can ensure the efficiency of the distribution of resources, accelerate the pace of economic development and promote scientific and technical progress. That is why it is extremely important and relevant to research and determine the features of the formation and development of competitive relations in economic conditions, to ensure their efficiency and civility, as well as to develop effective strategies for increasing the competitiveness of goods and services. The purpose and task of the article is to determine the essence of the competitiveness of goods and services and ways to improve them. The article is devoted to the study of approaches to the essence of the competitiveness of goods and services, the characteristics of factors for determining and ways of improving the competitiveness of goods and services. It was determined that one of the most important components of an enterprise's competitiveness is the competitiveness of finished products and services. It is noted that the competitiveness of goods and services is the level of their economic indicators and consumer properties, which allows them to withstand competition with other similar goods and services on the market. The integral quality indicator for calculating competitiveness and the methods used in assessing competitiveness, in particular differential, complex and special methods, are considered. It has been proven that a high level of competitiveness of goods and services is a basic indicator for an efficient economy.
