Abstract
The relevance of the research is due to the search for reserves to expand the resource base of the sphere of physical culture and sports and their corresponding sources of financing. The purpose of the article is to determine the directions of the policy of financing the physical culture and sports activities of the university based on the assessment of social effectiveness. The conducted research allowed us to obtain the following results. Currently, universities mainly use financial resources from budgetary sources and funds received for the implementation of educational programs on a fee basis to finance physical culture and sports activities. This approach is due to the integration of physical culture and sports disciplines into the implementation of educational programs. Alternative sources of fundraising are presented through the implementation of initiative projects within the framework of physical culture and sports activities, such as participation in sports-oriented events, the creation of physical culture and recreation structures of educational institutions and the attraction of funds from sponsors.
