Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to popularize psychoanalytic dream analysis with the help of AI programs such as Midjourney and Runway Gen-2. The paper will place The Interpretation of Dreams at the center of Freud’s oeuvres and emphasize the importance of the ‘idea’ (Vorstellung) rather than symbol in analyzing one’s dreams. In addition to this, the paper will point out the similarities between the collective data of AI and the collective memory of human beings through a conversation with ChatGPT. The paper will argue that the psychoanalytic way of analyzing dreams is the best way to communicate with one’s unconscious.
