Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an adaptive expertise scale, a newly emerging expertise construct. To this end, data were collected for adults to analyze the reliability and validity of the adaptive expertise scale. As a result of the study, the developed adaptive expertise scale was confirmed to have construct validity, discrimination validity, convergence validity, criterion validity, and reliability. The adaptive expertise scale was a total of 10 items, and the sub-factors consisted of domain-specific skill, innovation skill, and metacognitive skill. Through this study, it is expected to expand the understanding of adaptive expertise and provide information for the development of adaptive expertise education programs.
