Abstract

In connection with the strengthening of the role of the People’s Republic of China in the international arena, the art of diplomacy of the Chinese leadership has attracted increasing attention of researchers. The article is devoted to the peculiarities of Deng Xiaoping’s diplomatic policy, who, pursuing the policy of continuity, took traditional diplomatic methods as a basis. The leader formulated a diplomatic strategy of non-entry into unions in a formula of 28 hieroglyphs, and also announced a new course of the country’s diplomatic policy aimed at reform and openness to the outside world.
