Abstract

In this study, the preferences and wearing condition for functional sports innerwear products of male students in high school and college were investigated. The results shows that the ‘functional sports innerwear wear rate' was higher among high school students than college students. For the status of wearing functional sports innerwear by top and bottom, both high school students and college students, the most preferred sleeve length for functional sports innerwear was the 'length just above the elbow'. On the other hand, in the case of bottoms, it was found that high school students prefer 'calf length', and college students prefer 'thigh length'. For the design and brand preference, 'Adidas' was the most popular by high school students, and 'Nike' was the most popular by college students. In terms of color preference, high school students prefer primary colors, college students prefer achromatic colors. For the results of importance and satisfaction when selecting functional sports innerwear, in the case of high school students, 'cooling effect and warmth' are the most important, but in the case of college students, 'convenience of activity' is the most important.
