Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristic realization patterns of regressive aspiration that appear in the Busan regional language and examine the causes thereof. To this end, free speech used by speakers of various ages was used as data. The actualization pattern of regressive aspiration was different depending on the enviroment. The composition of Chinese characters was almost realized in all age groups, and the '-hi' connection type showed a similar pattern. The '-hata' connection type showed a loser realization rate of regressive aspiration as the age group increased, and the 'hako' connection type showed a very low realization rate. The failure to realize regressive aspiration is due to the binding force between the connected morphemes. In addition, it was confirmed that regressive aspiration is generally progressing in the direction of realization.
