Abstract

The article shows that the movement towards total commercialization of «everything and everyone» is moving the economy away from the knowledge economy and the economy of intelligence. The orientation towards commercialization has outgrown reasonable limits, has replaced all other value attitudes, and has become a brake on the path of a positive development of society. The negative consequences of hypercommercialization are revealed. The ways and methods of decommercialization of a significant part of economic activity in Russia are determined. The tasks of the reconstruction of economic theory and economic policy aimed at correcting the current imbalance are formulated.
