Abstract

The article deals with issues of regulation of archaeological activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan regulates the preservation of archaeological sites, as well as the organization of archaeological, expert and advisory work. The study of sites is carried out by employees of subordinate organizations of both the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Education and Science. Disunity and methodological issues that have not been worked out between the two departments cause damage to the preservation and study of archaeological sites. An analysis of two laws and six by-laws revealed the existing problems, and some ways have been proposed to solve this issue.
