Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between learning community activities and core competencies. A pre-post-test of core competencies was conducted on participants in the K University's learning community program, and interviews with participants were conducted to find out the specific significance of the experience of participating in the learning community and core competencies. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that all six core competencies of K University improved overall with the participation of the learning community. Second, the degree of improvement in core competency was different according to the nature of the learning community program. Third, it was found that the participation experience of the learning community not only forms individual learning habits but also creates various learning synergies.
