Abstract

This review examines the options for the practical use of yeast probiotics as an alternative to the use of feed antibiotics, which are widely used as growth stimulants in the fattening of young animals of various farm animals. The prospects of using yeast probiotics in aquaculture and beekeeping are shown. The mechanisms of action of yeast probiotics as inducers of the immune system, producers of antimicrobial agents and sorbents of toxins produced by pathogenic microorganisms are considered.
