Abstract

The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of makeup interest, assuming that makeup expert competency is a factor that improves senior women's self-esteem. As a research method, 593 people were selected for analysis by conducting a survey of senior women aged 50 to 69 who had received makeup services. The SPSS 29.0 program and Macro Process v4.2 were used as analysis methods. The main findings are as follows. As a result of the research model verification, it was verified that makeup expert competency directly affects self-esteem and has a partial mediating effect that mediates makeup interest. As a result of the above research, it is expected that the development of the capabilities of makeup experts will have a positive effect on improving self-esteem amid the trend of makeup consumption and interest of senior women.
