Abstract

The article is devoted to the substantiation of the allocation of two archaeological microdistricts located in the floodplain zone of the right bank of the Ob river in the vicinity of Barnaul and characterization of their geographical features. These complexes - microdistricts of the channels of the Zalomnaya and Malaya Rechka - are associated, first of all, with the presence of such a characteristic phenomenon of the Ob floodplain as the remnants of the right bedrock and floodplain sand dunes. These formations are usually confined to the system of water floodplain structures - channels, oxbow lakes, oxbow and spring lakes, as well as small rivers. The saturation of this territory with biological and mineral resources has attracted people here since the Stone Age. It is to the end of this era that the settlement of Kalinino I, located on the protruding cape of the indigenous right bank, belongs.
