Abstract
Modern Russian statehood is based on domestic historical, legal, cultural values, the preservation of which is manifested in the provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation as one of the im-portant tasks. The value system is a topic that has repeatedly become the subject of scientific analysis. Protecting this system and its elements from threats, in particular from cognitive distortions and transformations, has become especially relevant in recent years. The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of cognitive technologies on the system of sovereign Russian values. It is concluded that in Russian legislation, along with the concept of information security, it is necessary to consolidate cognitive security. In its most general form, it can be considered as a system for counter-ing cognitive technologies.
