Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve the operation of university convergence liberal arts education based on a case study of convergence liberal arts education at University A. A research method of in-depth interviews with professors who run convergence liberal arts courses was used, and experiences and opinions on convergence liberal arts education were collected and analyzed. Through this, we sought to develop more progressive convergence liberal arts subjects and explore ways to improve and support convergence liberal arts education. The study analyzed the characteristics and operating system of University A's convergence liberal arts education, the operating method and teaching methods of convergence subjects, and interactions with students, and sought ways to revitalize convergence liberal arts education. In conclusion, the need for a database of convergence materials and cases for instructors, a convergence education program for instructors, a regular opinion listening system for educational support, and efficient collaboration among instructors who discuss textbooks and teaching methods and participate in subject development together is presented.
