Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship among Principal’s Coaching Leadership, Teacher Empowerment and School Organizational Effectiveness. The following conclusions were drawn. First, there was a positive correlation between all of the principal's coaching leadership, teacher empowerment, and school organizational effectiveness. Second, the significance of the direct relationship between potential variables in the structural model was verified. The principal’s coaching leadership was found to have a positive effect on teacher empowerment(β=.668, p<.001) and a positive effect on school organizational effectiveness(β=.346, p<.001). In addition, teacher empowerment was found to have a positive effect on school organizational effectiveness(β=.620, p<.001). Third, as a result of indirect effect analysis through Bootstrap, coaching leadership has an indirect positive effect on school organizational effectiveness (β=.414, p<.001). Therefore, teacher empowerment plays a role in mediating the effect of coaching leadership on school organizational effectiveness. This study confirmed that the principal’s coaching leadership not only exerts a direct influence on teacher empowerment and school organizational effectiveness, but also improves teacher empowerment and ultimately affects school organizational effectiveness. Therefore, in order to enhance the school organizational effectiveness based on the principal’s coaching leadership, various approaches such as giving autonomy to teachers, creating an environment for decision-making and institutional arrangements will be required.
