Abstract

The article is devoted to the specificity of impolite behavior of an American businessman. The category of impoliteness is studied taking into account the addressee’s factor. The role of negative connotation verbs in impolite business communication is described. The author reveals the most typical stylistic means of impolite communication. The consideration of the phenomenon of indirect nomination, used in impolite dialogues, takes a separate place. Invective statements in mono- and di-gender speech acts are analyzed. Grammatical features of impolite masculine behavior in situations of business communication are revealed.
