Abstract

This study aimed to examine the subject of liberal arts Korean textbooks for international college students studying in Korean universities, focusing on culture of college life, and to explore future tasks. Based on previous studies, the culture of college life were classified into seven categories. In addition, as a result of analyzing textbooks for three types of academic Korean learners based on this, it was found that the contents of the 'interpersonal relationships' category need to be supplemented first. Second, it is necessary to select and arrange culture of college life items to be reflected in the textbook in consideration of the appropriateness and diversity of the subject, and the needs of learners. Finally, it is necessary to consider how to integrate culture of college life into textbooks, and not simply provide information on the system or explain and deliver related manual.
