Abstract

This study applied and guided systematic vocal education through private lessons for practical vocal majors through actual cases, qualitatively analyzed post-student feedback, and argued this. For this purpose, an objective vocal theory that can be commonly applied to classical vocal music and practical music vocals was presented, and based on this, ‘Concone’ and parts of Berklee College of Music’s vocal textbook were used as students’ assignments. Additional breathing exercises were also conducted to help with vocalization. After completing 15 weeks of practical training, all students responded to a survey that these vocal tasks had a positive effect and help on their singing, indicating that these vocal training tools are meaningful training tools in practical music vocal instruction. It can be seen as meaning. In addition, it was indirectly confirmed that 1:1 apprenticeship classes that allow interaction and intensive hands-on training between instructors and students are very effective in practical music vocal education.
