Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examined the mediation model of borderline personality traits, Zhongyong, self-esteem, and psychological well-being. To this end, self-report scales measuring borderline personality traits, Zhongyong, self-esteem, and psycholgical well-being were conducted on 307 college students. Result shows that Zhongyong and self-esteem completely mediated the relationship between borderline personality traits and psychological well-being. It was suggested that the intervention of cultivating Zhongyong attitude in people with BPD would be effective in increasing self-esteem and psychological well-being. In the general discussion section, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
