Abstract

This article examines the history of the development of the system of summer recreation for children in the 30s of the XX century in the Soviet Union as one of the activities of the Komsomol and the pioneer organization. The analysis of decisions and resolutions of congresses and conferences of the Komsomol is given, the regional experience of work in this area is considered. The author comes to the conclusion that it was in the thirties that the approaches to the summer health campaign were formulated, which are still relevant today: the basics of the preparation of the trip, the equipment of the camp, the daily routine, the organ-ization of public life, the financing of camp shifts, methodological support, the selection and training of personnel.
