Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the canonization problems of and the study of the feat of the New Martyrs and confessors of Belgorod. The author notes the relevance of the area of research, which is to study the problems of preserving the memory and heritage of the ascetics of piety. The author emphasizes that the rehabilitation of repressed clergy by the state is very important. As a result, the author comes to the con-clusion that for the church, this aspect is an important milestone in the study of the Lives of New Martyrs and the knowledge of which allow to strengthen the ties between generations and to prevent a recurrence of such tragedies.
