Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of economic status on leisure activity satisfaction on weekdays and weekends among older adults. This study used Data were drawn from the 8th wave of the Korean Retirement and Income Study(KReIS) Main(2019) and Additional Surveys (2020). The study sample is 3,955 older adults aged 65 years old and older. For analyses, frequency, descriptive, and logistic regression analyses. Key research findings are as follows, leisure activities that the elderly participate most on weekdays and weekends were “tv, radio, videos, music.” Satisfaction with leisure activities on weekdays and weekends was found to be unsatisfactory by one out of three people. Weekday leisure activities were dissatisfied with the higher the total asset level, and weekend leisure activities were satisfied with the higher the total asset level. Based on the research results, a practical and policy plan proposed to promote satisfaction of Leisure activities among older adults.
