Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among retirement anxiety, burnout, and psychological well-being of university Taekwondo players. In this study, 300 university Taekwondo players who participated in a Taekwondo national athlete tournament dispatch at summer Universiade competition were selected as a population. A total of 294 data were used for the final analysis except for the 6 data lacking consistency of responses. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, regularity verification, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling using SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0 programs. The results of this study were as follows. First, retirement anxiety of university Taekwondo players had a positive effect on burnout. Second, retirement anxiety of university Taekwondo players has negative effect on psychological well-being. Third, burnout of university Taekwondo players did not significantly affect psychological well-being. The results of this study could be used as basic data for the improvement of the treatment of college taekwondo athletes and the plan of retirement anxiety.
