Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between retirement anxiety, self-resilience and perceived performance of elite Taekwondo players. The subjects of the study selected elite Taekwondo athletes who participated in the national championships in 2018 as populations, and collected a total of 324 samples using non-probability sampling nomadic sampling method. A total of 312 data were used for analysis, except for 12 of the surveyed questionnaires with lack of consistency. The data processing was based on SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0, and analyzed data through frequency analysis, confirmation factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model. The results of this study are as follows. First, the retirement anxiety of elite Taekwondo players has a negative impact on self-resilience. Second, the self-resilience of elite Taekwondo players has a static impact on perceived performance. Third, the retirement anxiety of elite Taekwondo players has no effect on perceived performance. Fourth, self-resilience plays a mediator role in relation to the retirement anxiety and perceived performance of elite Taekwondo players.
