Abstract

Based on the basic concepts of the theory of speech genres and theoretical positions in the field of functional semantics of evaluation, genre forms typical of the hypergenre “Omsk State Pedagogical University Website” are analysed: news, reports, interviews. The positive-evaluative tonality of the hypergenre as a whole and its constituent speech genres is revealed. The predominance of indirect forms of expressing a positive assessment of the university through the use of various sub-genre speech formations is noted. The linguistic means of forming evaluative meanings are determined.
