Abstract

By investigating relations between the types of dance sport instructors and exercise commitment, exercise satisfaction, and exercise adherence, this study solve ones maladjustment due to stress, lack of physical activity and absence of sociality through dance sport in the rapidly changing modern society and also promote their personal happiness and effective leisure activities. For the purpose, the study conducted a survey with 378 participants in dance sport, examined and reviewed the responses, and reached the following conclusions:BR Firstly, as for the effects of types of instructors on exercise commitment, actions of training instruction, actions of social support, and authoritative actions had impacts on cognitive commitment. Actions of social support had the biggest influence on behavioral commitment, being followed by actions of training instruction and positive reward in the order.BR Secondly, as for the effects of types of instructors on exercise satisfaction, actions of training instruction had the most impacts on satisfaction with task performance, being followed by authoritative actions and actions of social support in the order. Authoritative actions and actions of training instruction had the greatest effects on satisfaction with instruction, being followed by actions of social support. Authoritative actions had the biggest impacts on social mutual satisfaction, being followed by actions of positive reward and social support in the order.BR Thirdly, as for the effects of types of instructors on exercise adherence, actions of positive reward had the most influence on exercise habit, being followed by actions of social support. Exercise interest was affected by actions of positive reward, democratic actions, and actions of training instruction. None of the five subfactors had effects on exercise environment.
