Abstract

The article provides an overview of the works of Kyrgyz ethnopedagogues studying how the ideas of patriotic education are reflected in the folklore heritage. The views of Kyrgyz ethnopedagogues who express ideas on ethnopedagogy and patriotic education in folklore works are explained in a new way. The article was devoted to researchers of the theory and history of ethnopedagogy. In our opinion, in the patriotic education of students, works of literature perform the following functions: a communicator that unites in the collective recognition of the ideals, values of patriotic personalities in the children's environment; a means that allows a teacher-educator to instill in students feelings, values about the Motherland and patriotism; a means that deepens, complements, strengthens inner care and love for the Motherland, place birth, civic duty to the Motherland, reflection on their social role, as well as a means of self-education. In the studies of a number of scientists, opinions are expressed about Kyrgyz folklore, ethnography, philosophy, and pedagogical views in oral folk art.
