Abstract

The proposed article is devoted to one of the priority areas for the development of modern school education – the patriotic education of students. Important provisions of the Federal State Standards for Primary General Education, Basic General Education and Secondary General Education are presented. These are the requirements for the personal results of mastering these programs. One of the aspects of the problem identified is considered, namely, the patriotic education ofstudents and the organization of the corresponding activities. The role of school mathematics in solving this important problem is shown. A special place in the process of patriotic education is given to the history of mathematics
