Abstract

This paper attempted to analyze the characteristics and patterns of “Chunhyangjeon,” a representative example of classics that are recreated in various ways, when they are recreated in the webtoon genre. In other words, the purpose of this study is to examine the variation pattern of the webtoon “Gwanghallu Romance” based on the “Chunhyang” narrative, explore the characteristics found in this variation pattern, and what these characteristic points mean in the re-creation of classical narratives. As a result of the study, the variation of the “Chunhyang” narrative in “Gwanghulu Romance” is divided into three characteristics.
