Abstract

With the intensification of sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation, the withdrawal of many manufacturers from the Russian markets, the policy of import substitution has acquired particular importance in the country.
 The purpose of the study is to assess the problems and prospects for the development of the Russian agricultural machinery market in the context of sanctions and import substitution policies, to make proposals for the establishment of domestic production of agricultural machinery.
 The authors of the work studied the market of agricultural machinery in Russia, highlighted its features and analyzed the indicators of its functioning, and also determined the impact of geopolitical instability on it. In addition, the study examined the factors that have a negative impact on the agricultural machinery market, developed and made multi-aspect proposals to accelerate the establishment of domestic production of agricultural machinery.
