Abstract

This article explores the significance of creating comfortable courtyard areas in a region as a tool for demographic management, using the example of Primorsky Krai in the Far Eastern Federal District. The study is based on methods of generalization and critical analysis of scientific publications on the subject, as well as comparison, interpretation, and abstraction. The paper highlights the relevance of the demographic crisis faced by modern Primorsky Krai and identifies the negative consequences of ongoing processes leading to population decline. Views of contemporary authors on the formation of comfortable courtyard areas are summarized, identifying factors and features of such areas and their impact on the quality of life of the population. The author presents an approach to defining a comfortable urban environment (including adjacent areas), based on the consolidation of the state, society, and entrepreneurship, as well as established practices and mechanisms for managing a comfortable urban environment.
