Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose a fundamental alternative to eradicate the illegal use of cartoon content by cartoon content consumers. To this end, this study tried to empirically investigate the effect of cartoon content consumers' propensity to leisure consumption and user characteristics on their willingness to pay. Specifically, a questionnaire was distributed to 200 adult male and female cartoon content consumers to collect data and identify the causal relationship between variables. The main result of this study is that among users of cartoon content, users who aim for efficiency and those who usually use cartoons frequently were more willing to pay. Through this, this researcher suggested a complete reorganization of the distribution system for efficient access to domestic cartoon content and strengthening the government's support system for creators.
