Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of development of piano education in higher education institutions in the People’s Republic of China. The peculiarities of the development of the studied phenomenon are highlighted — an increase in the number of institutions providing piano education and those wishing to study in them, an expansion of the stylistic content of piano education, an increase in the production capacity of musical instruments and specialists engaged in tuning them. The existing difficulties and shortcomings in the development of piano education in the People’s Republic of China at the beginning of the 21st century have been identified and analyzed
