Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning effects and satisfaction changes in learners using metaverse-based educational programs and derive improvement plans. A survey was conducted on foreign university students participating in a metaverse-based Korean language education program. The results were compared and analyzed to measure the program's effectiveness and satisfaction differences. The study confirmed that the metaverse-based program effectively increased learner engagement and immersion. Blended metaverse classes showed higher learning outcomes and satisfaction than online metaverse and traditional classroom classes. The study suggests that educational institutions and educators consider implementing blended metaverse classes when developing and operating metaverse-based programs, which can provide more effective support for foreign university students learning Korean.
