Abstract

The K atom electron-stimulated desorption (ESD) processes in K/KxAuy/Au/W system have been studied. There have been shown that ESD processes have been occurred in the K adlayer and in the nearest KxAuy layer. The K atom ESD model in K/KxAuy/Au/W system have been suggested. Semiconductor nature of KxAuy compounds have been corroborated.
