Abstract
Injuries of the visual organ in Russia are one of the causes of visual disability and blindness. People of young, able-bodied age are most often affected. Purpose. To present a clinical case of treatment of a patient with a penetrating wound and a foreign body of the cornea. Material and methods. The article considers a real clinical case, starting from the moment of admission of the patient to the ophthalmology department and ending with the results achieved during the treatment. Results. The correct diagnostics and the correctly chosen method of treatment ensure the achievement of the best results. Conclusions. Previously, referral of patients with an eye injury for specialized care is important for achieving the best results during treatment.
