Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate influential relations among the health promotion education, exercise commitment and exercise satisfaction of members in a cycling club. For this purpose, the investigator found subjects in 387 members that currently lived in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province in 2018 and were active members in a cycling club and carried out frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Cronbach’s ɑ coefficients were used to test the reliability of internal consistency of questionnaire items. Collected data was analyzed with the PASW 18.0 Version. The analysis results led to the following conclusions: First, the study examined the effects of health promotion education on the exercise commitment of cycling club members and found that health responsibility had significant effects on their behavioral commitment and that self-realization had significant effects on their cognitive and behavioral commitment. Secondly, the study also examined the impacts of health promotion education on the exercise satisfaction of the cycling club members and found that nutrition management had significant impacts on their physical and social satisfaction, that health responsibility had significant impacts on their social satisfaction, and that self-realization had significant impacts on their cognitive, physical and social satisfaction. Finally, the study looked into the influences of exercise commitment on the exercise satisfaction of the cycling club members and found that cognitive commitment had significant influences on their cognitive, physical, and social satisfaction and that behavioral commitment had significant influences on their physical and social satisfaction.
