Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze an ecosystem exploitation problems in international transit river basins. Method. Analysis of material on international conflicts in transboundary river basins. Results. The authors considered various types of classification of water conflicts, identified the causes of conflicts in international river basins, and also considered various approaches to neutralizing these conflicts and gave examples of agreements to resolve conflict situations. Conclusion. The main problem is the development of an international regulatory framework for water use in transboundary river basins and organization of the geo-environmental monitoring and the establishment of regulatory authorities.
