Abstract

Aim. The article deals with the seasonal and long-term dynamics of the Northwest PreCaspian semi-desert landscapes within the juniper tract “Buruny” according to the weather station Roshchino for 1960-2015. Methods. We have used the results of the Russian Geographical Society research grant “Juniper tract “Buruny” – the natural heritage of the Nogay Steppe”. The climate conditions were analyzed by mathematical statistics methods. They make it possible to identify trends in seasonal and landscapes multi-annual dynamics. Results . The obtained results of the semi-desert landscapes temporal structure for the Northwest Pre-Caspian enable the stability of landscapes individual components to the climate fluctuations to be estimated. The analysis of seasonal and multi-year dynamics made it possible to identify the links between specific states and biomass stocks, crop yields, predict some negative natural phenomena for agriculture (droughts, frosts, etc.). Conclusions. The humid and arid groups of conditions in summer and cryothermal in winter are the most representative indicators for the climate conditions of tract Buruny and climate change. To a lesser degree, transitional snowless states of the cold period are indicators for climate conditions.
