Abstract
The paper presents the biography of the first lecturer in logic at the philosophical faculty of Leningrad State University, V. D. Resnik (pen name: Vladimir Dneprov). The story is based on archive materials, memoirs and recollections. We also consider some questions concerning the short-term existence of the chair of logic and psychology at the philosophical faculty of Leningrad University, the fact which has not been previously discussed in the literature.
