Abstract

The purpose of this study is to alleviate death and death anxiety, positively change death-related attitudes including the ability to cope with death, and contribute in part to the establishment of a death culture in our society. To this end, based on the healing process and views on the four ultimate concerns that Yalom approached existentially and usefully, that is, death, freedom, alienation, and meaninglessness, the ultimate analysis of life and death according to the possibility of overcoming death and death anxiety he mentioned The necessity of death education to help learn and embody the meaning of death, and the value and importance of picture books for death education were suggested. He also suggested death education using picture books as a way to redefine the right values of life and death.
