Abstract

The article considers the possibility of using a macroscopic fundamental diagram to analyze the state of traffic flows and changes in the patterns of accumulation during dynamic traffic manage-ment between the considered urban areas. Differential equations of the dynamics of the system on the change in the accumulation of the macroscopic fundamental diagram of the transport flow in a two-zone system are obtained. Different types of attraction zones with unchanged values of border control are described and methods of their calculation for obtaining an analytical solution of both zones are determined. For the reliability of the study, real data of the central part of Jinan (China) are presented and modeling is carried out using the mathematical modeling complex MATLAB. The simulation results show changes in the zone of attraction at different levels of traffic control intensity and the processes of vehicle movement in a two-zone system.
