Abstract
The article is devoted to the generalization of the experience of the Steppe detachment of the archaeological expedition of Altai State Pedagogical University to determine the boundaries of objects of archaeological heritage. New statistical data on the 2020-2022 studies conducted on the territory of Ust’-Kalmansky, Loktevsky and Shipunovsky districts are presented. The authors stress the correct approach of the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage objects of the Altai Territory, which included in the list of objects to be delimitated in 2022, on the territory of Shipunovsky district, the largest in three years percentage of mounds subject to destruction. At the same time, a significant and unaccounted issue in the organization of these works was the choice of time and terms of their implementation.
