Abstract

The article examines the problem of the use of the category «Homeland/Fatherland» by German propaganda in the occupied Soviet territory. The author comes to the conclusion that German propaganda differentiated and contrasted the concepts of «Homeland/The Fatherland» and «the Soviet state», focused on the «criminal» nature of the Soviet government, inspired the idea of the possibility of gaining national sovereignty of Belarus as part of the «New Europe».
