Components of Interreligious Tolerance Based on Digital Applications

Interfaith tolerance is important to maintain social harmony, especially in a country with many religions like Malaysia. Challenges such as misunderstandings about tolerance and the spread of extremism still exist despite the diversity of religions and cultures. The purpose of this study was to examine aspects of interfaith tolerance from the perspective of preachers, as well as from the perspective of using digital applications as a medium for teaching. Based on a qualitative approach, interviews were conducted with preachers who actively interact with non-Muslim communities. Some important themes in this study are religious freedom, mutual respect, ideas of goodwill, social justice, and harmonious discussions. The study also shows that digital applications can increase the understanding of tolerance through the dissemination of religious values ​​in an interactive and easily accessible way, especially to the younger generation. The main conclusion emphasizes that tolerance is not only a social necessity but a moral obligation that needs to be implemented in every level of society. This study is hoped to be a guide for preachers and application developers in promoting harmony through digital approaches.

Digital Da'wah and Quranic Interpretation: Opportunities, Distortions, and Ethics in the Spread of Interpretations on Social Media

Digitalization has changed the face of Islamic preaching and dissemination of knowledge, including the interpretation of the Qur'an, which now reaches a broad audience through various social media platforms. This transformation presents significant opportunities in religious education, but also poses serious challenges in the form of distortion of meaning and oversimplification in the presentation of interpretations. This study aims to examine the dynamics of disseminating interpretations of the Qur'an on social media from three main aspects: opportunities, potential distortion, and ethics of dissemination. With a qualitative-analytical approach, this study relies on digital documentation and literature studies of interpretation content spread on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The data is reviewed in depth to understand the methodological tendencies, narratives, and scientific responsibilities in the presentation of interpretations. The results of the study show that although social media can increase accessibility and attract the interest of the younger generation in interpretations, there is a high risk of the dissemination of interpretations that do not go through proper scientific procedures, ignore the context of the verses, and pay little attention to differences in the views of scholars. In addition, ethics in disseminating interpretations are often ignored, either in the form of plagiarism, provocation, or misleading language. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of ethical guidelines and the active role of religious institutions in overseeing the dissemination of digital interpretation of the Qur'an so that it remains within the scientific and Sharia corridor. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between digital innovation and the integrity of interpretation science in presenting relevant, credible, and responsible da'wah in the information era.

Sosiokultural Perladangan Tradisional Masyarakat Dayak Kalimantan Tengah

The Dayak farming system in Central Kalimantan is not just an agricultural activity, but also part of a socio-cultural system that is passed down from generation to generation. This practice reflects a harmonious relationship between humans and nature and has strong economic, social, and cultural values. This study aims to analyze farming as a socio-cultural system, explain the challenges faced by the Dayak community in maintaining this practice, and identify the adaptation strategies they carry out to survive in changing conditions. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews with farming communities, traditional leaders, and village officials, as well as documentation studies from various sources related to agrarian and environmental policies. The results of the study indicate that the Dayak farming system socio-culturally functions not only as a livelihood but also as a symbol of cultural identity. Customary rituals, the cooperation system (handep), and belief in forest guardian spirits are still an integral part of farming practices. However, traditional farming practices face major challenges, such as the prohibition of land burning, land conversion to oil palm plantations, and the decreasing interest of the younger generation in farming. To survive, the Dayak community has developed various adaptation strategies, such as modification of farming techniques, livelihood diversification, legal resistance and land rights advocacy, and strengthening communities and social networks.

Manajemen Komunikasi Tradisi Dan Modernitas Dalam Perayaan Hari Raya Nyepi Di Lombok

This study aims to examine the communication management that takes place in the Nyepi Day celebration in Lombok, with a focus on the integration between local traditions and the influence of modernity. Nyepi Day is one of the holy days in Hinduism that has deep meaning in the teachings of the Vedas, and involves a series of profound and symbolic rituals. In the context of Lombok, the Nyepi celebration shows the interaction between traditional communication maintained by the indigenous community and the use of digital media that is increasingly growing, especially among the younger generation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, customary leaders, and Hindu youth in Lombok, as well as participant observation of the procession and digital communication related to Nyepi. This study also examines the theory of ritual communication, new media theory, and diffusion of innovation theory to explain the dynamics of communication that occurs. The results of the study indicate that although digital media plays an increasingly large role in disseminating information about Nyepi, traditional communication involving direct interaction between community members and the delivery of religious teachings by customary leaders still plays an important role in strengthening the spiritual meaning of the celebration. The integration of social media and other digital platforms has succeeded in expanding the reach of information and increasing community participation, but also presents challenges in maintaining the depth of religious and cultural values. In conclusion, communication management in the Nyepi Day celebration in Lombok shows success in combining traditional and modern elements, creating an inclusive communication space, and strengthening the religious and social identity of the Hindu community. This study contributes to the understanding of adaptive religious communication management in the digital era.

Inspiring social changemakers: what drives social enterprise dreams?

Purpose This study aims to examine the factors influencing the social entrepreneurial intentions (SEI) of Generation Z in Vietnam, focusing on key determinants such as prior experience, empathy, moral obligation, self-efficacy, perceived social support and prosocial behavior. The study not only enriches the existing literature but also broadens understanding of a demographic group and geographical context that has been underexplored, offering novel insights into the domain of social entrepreneurship. Design/methodology/approach The study uses a quantitative approach and SmartPLS software to analyze 789 valid survey samples. Data collection, targeting Generation Z across Vietnam, was conducted through online and offline channels, ensuring diverse sources. This approach aims to provide comprehensive findings on influencing factors. Findings Based on 789 surveys and quantitative analysis, results show all hypotheses are supported with positive impacts. Prior experience with social issues positively influences empathy, moral obligation, self-efficacy, perceived social support and prosocial behavior. These factors also significantly affect SEI among Generation Z in Vietnam. Originality/value The findings from this research will serve as a significant motivation to foster SEIs among future social entrepreneurs, particularly among the current young generation who aspire to contribute to societal improvement in various aspects. Moreover, the study provides conclusions and implications that can aid current social entrepreneurs and social enterprise associations in designing, developing and implementing programs related to social entrepreneurship. These programs aim to guide and stimulate social entrepreneurial motivation among the youth. Managers at social enterprises will be the ones to inspire and assist future generations in continuing efforts related to the development of a more sustainable society.

Cultural and civic literacy play a crucial role in shaping national character, strengthening national identity, and maintaining harmony within a diverse society. In today's era of globalization, local cultures are increasingly marginalized by the influence of foreign cultures, especially among younger generations. This paper explores the importance of cultural literacy in society, its roles and impacts on social life, and strategies to enhance it. Through a deep understanding of local values, norms, and wisdom, communities are expected to develop greater awareness of the need to preserve national culture. The discussion also highlights the importance of active participation from various societal elements—ranging from families and schools to community groups—in revitalizing cultural values through meaningful activities. Thus, the cultural literacy movement is not only a means of cultural preservation but also serves as a foundation for building an inclusive, tolerant society with a strong sense of national pride

Ethnographic exploration and documentation of Kannadippaya (Bamboo reed mat) weaving among tribal communities in Kerala

The weaving practices of traditional Kanna-dippaya(bamboo reed mat) among tribal communities in Kerala, India, are explored in this study. Data was collectedbetween 2021 and 2023 with an ethnographic approach along with exploratory design, employing methods such as participant observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, document analysis and visual ethnography. With the tradition being one not studied before; key in-formants were identified using the snowball sampling method. The research aims to document the traditional knowledge and techniques of weaving bamboo mats, the preferred bamboo species, and the socio-economic implications of the craft. The study investigates the currentchallenges faced by weavers, including resource depletion, economic constraints, and the waning interest of younger generations. It also analyses the role of government and non-governmental organizations in supporting this traditionalcraft. The findings underscore the cultural significance of Kannadippaya weaving and emphasize the urgent need for interventions to preserve and promote this intangible heritage.

Beyond Physical Withdrawal: A Thematic Analysis of the States and Challenges of the Socially Withdrawn in China as Depicted on SNS

Social Withdrawal (SW) refers to a phenomenon where people, especially the young generation, avoid social activities, and confine themselves to their homes. This issue has become a significant public concern in many countries, including China, since socially withdrawn individuals (SWers), despite their potential, may contribute little to society. A major challenge in studying SW lies in the reluctance of these individuals to participate in traditional surveys or interviews, making it difficult to approach their inner worlds and lived experiences. To address this limitation, this study employed an innovative approach by analyzing the social networking site (SNS) activities of SWers. Specifically, we conducted a thematic analysis of naturally occurring data from online blog communities dedicated to SW in China. This method enabled us to explore the lives, emotions, and thoughts of SW individuals in a non-intrusive manner. Our findings revealed two overarching themes defined as: (1) the states of SW individuals, and (2) the challenges they face in reintegrating into society. Building on these insights, we discuss the implications of our findings, propose theoretical frameworks and put forward a series of practical suggestions for their social reintegration.

AI-Based Intervention to Enhance Self-Control in Adolescents Studying Drama—A Pilot Study

(1) Background: Self-control is an essential capacity in educating young generations for the good management of personal resources and a healthy life adapted to the constantly changing demands of technological society. Artificial intelligence is an economical and efficient solution for designing medical education programs aimed at optimizing this capacity, which can be personalized according to each personal needs and characteristics. (2) Methodology: This research is a sequential intervention study that aims to investigate if the level of impulsivity decreases and consequently the self-control in adolescents studying drama can be improved by using an online program designed for this purpose. The program’s effectiveness is evaluated by analyzing its impact on vocational performance and the reduction in unhealthy lifestyle habits. A sample of 90 subjects aged between 14 and 17 years, enrolled in the compulsory vocational education system was included in this study. The study was conducted over a five-month period and was organized in three stages: 1. The preparatory stage in which the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale was initially applied (pre-test scores); 2. Selecting the tasks for the online self-control education program and uploading the artificial intelligence network; the application of the program lasted for three months; 3. Applying Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (post-test scores). (3) Results: The results indicated both a statistically significant decrease in self-reported impulsivity and an improvement in the self-control of the sample of adolescents after three months of training on the online platform, compared to the pretest scores of impulsivity. (4) Conclusion: A comparative analysis between the initial and the final BIS scores showed a statistically significant decrease in teens‘ impulsivity, suggesting that the program was effective for this sample of adolescents. Consequently, the study findings indicate significant improvements in adolescents’ self-control after completing the three-month training program, which included cognitive-behavioral games.

This article analyzes the inseparable connection between tourism and the processes of education, culture, and upbringing from a pedagogical perspective. It scientifically substantiates the potential of tourism activities to expand the spiritual and educational worldview of the younger generation, foster respect for historical heritage, and develop practical skills. The study also examines the role of cultural tourism in modern educational processes, its educational functions, and the necessary pedagogical conditions. The article provides recommendations for ensuring the integrated implementation of education, culture, and upbringing through tourism. Digitalisasi UMKM Desa melalui Pelatihan AI dan Pemasaran TikTok Shop

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the Indonesian economy. Based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, MSMEs contribute more than 60% to the national GDP and absorb around 97% of the workforce (Kemenkop UKM, 2023). However, the majority of MSMEs in rural areas still face major challenges in terms of digitalization, market access, and technology utilization. One of the popular digital platforms is TikTok Shop, which allows MSMEs to market their products more widely through short video content. Training on the use of TikTok Shop has been proven to help MSMEs increase sales and expand market reach (Arum & Hidayat, 2023). TikTok Shop as an e-commerce platform based on short videos is becoming a new trend in digital marketing strategies. Its massive use by the younger generation opens up great opportunities for MSMEs to enter a wider market at a relatively low cost. With a combination of AI training (such as the use of chatbots for customer service or simple sales data analysis) and the use of TikTok Shop, village MSMEs can increase their business scale sustainably. The implementation of community service was carried out in Karangtengah Village, Demak. The problem raised in this PKM is to increase the scale of marketing based on technology or online media, encouraging people to increase their knowledge, skills, and awareness in utilizing the TikTok Shop application to improve digital marketing.

Pembelajaran Tanggap Budaya (Culturally Responsive Teaching) di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

This study aims to identify how to implement culturally responsive teaching in grade IV of SDN Inpres 1 Birobuli. The method used was qualitative descriptive with the subject of grade IV students of SDN Inpres 1 Birobuli, the respondents of this study were students with a total of 27 people and teachers of grade IV A of SDN Inpres 1 Birobuli. The instruments in this study are observation sheets, interview guidelines, document studies and questionnaires. Data collection was carried out by conducting observations, interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The data analysis used was a qualitative analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results of the research show that the implementation of culturally responsive teaching at SDN Inpres 1 Birobuli has created inclusive and meaningful learning by integrating local culture. This method improves students' understanding, motivation, and tolerance, although it still needs optimization in all subjects. If this method is applied more consistently, it is expected to produce a younger generation that appreciates cultural diversity. The implication of this study is that the implementation of culturally responsive teaching (CRT) at SDN Inpres 1 Birobuli can create inclusive and meaningful learning by integrating local culture, which enhances students' understanding, motivation, and tolerance towards diversity. Although it has shown positive results, the implementation of this method still needs to be optimized across all subjects. Therefore, continuous efforts are required in teacher training and providing teaching materials that support the integration of local culture in learning, in order to produce a younger generation that appreciates and preserves Indonesia's cultural diversity.

Pengembangan Media Interaktif Berbasis Canva untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Murid TK Go Ceria Cipayung

Interactive is a media that provides an opportunity for users to interact with the media and practice skills and get feedback on the material displayed. This study aims to determine the development of interactive media based on the Canva application to increase the learning interest of students at Go Ceria Cipayung Kindergarten. Kindergartens play an essential role in forming the foundation for the development of children's knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The main priorities of early childhood education include stimulation, guidance, care, and learning activities. Learning media, especially interactive educational media, are important to motivate and understand children. This study focuses on the development of multimedia-based interactive media using Canva for Go Ceria Cipayung Kindergarten. The objectives of this study include the creation of interactive media, as a reference for learning activities while playing, and measuring its effectiveness in TK Go Ceria Cipayung. The conclusion of this study shows that interactive learning media using cnva has been successfully designed, has the potential to foster a sense of interest in learning in the younger generation, especially students of TK Go Ceria Cipayung.

Digitalisation of Yorùbá Culture in YouTube Children’s Performances

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed how cultures are preserved, communicated, and appreciated. In recent years, YouTube has emerged as a powerful platform for cultural dissemination, particularly among younger audiences. However, the digitalisation and aesthetics of the Yorùbá culture and language remain underexplored, especially in the context of content created by and for children on YouTube. Despite the richness and diversity of Yorùbá culture including its language, folklore, music, and visual arts, there is a significant gap in understanding how these cultural elements are being adapted and presented in the digital sphere. This is particularly critical for younger generations, who are increasingly consuming content online and may have limited access to traditional forms of cultural transmission. Thus, this study analysed the elements of Yorùbá culture, and assessed the fidelity and authenticity of Yorùbá cultural portrayals in the content created by YouTube children’s performances. The study employed functionalist theory and analysed two children’s performances. We found that YouTube Children’s performances adopt various storytelling techniques (folktale, proverbs, and idioms), music, dance, and visual elements to suit digital platforms. Both performances effectively engage contemporary audiences while maintaining the essence of Yorùbá culture. By addressing these objectives, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of how digital platforms can be utilised to preserve and promote cultural heritage, ensuring that younger generations remain connected to their roots in an increasingly digitalised world.

Historical and Cultural Phenomenon of Children's Everyday Life in the Programmes of Kazakh Radio of the Soviet Period

The purpose of this study was to highlight the content of radio programmes of Kazakh radio broadcasting for children, as an example of professional work on the education of the younger generation, from a modern perspective. The influence of audiovisual materials on the younger generation and their daily life, the formation of historical memory through images and associations. Analysis of the historical and cultural phenomenon of children's radio programmes in Soviet Kazakhstan. The materials of the study were both archival and field sources, opinions of domestic radio journalists, from the funds of Kazakh radio in the chronological framework of the stated topic, as well as thematic publications of domestic and foreign scientists. The methods of research were taken methods and principles of dialectical logic, the principle of historicism, allowing to take into account the general political situation in the USSR and external factors, which allowed to build a coherent methodology of work. The results of the study: a step-by-step reconstruction of the evolution of the content of Soviet (Kazakh including) radio broadcasting, intended for a certain age (children and teenagers); identification of co-dependence of the all-union content with the content of radio air of the union and autonomous republics; clarification of the structure of Kazradio and personnel potential, individual biographies of masters of national radio broadcasting; analysis of critical concepts of foreign researchers and others. Accordingly, the scope of application of the research results extends to the preparation of lecture courses in universities, writing generalising works on the history of ‘children's’ radio broadcasting in the republic in the Soviet period, recommendations for diversifying children's radio air. The author comes to the conclusion about the significance of the problem of differentiation of media (radio) content in Independent Kazakhstan, for the professional promotion of national values in the children and youth environment.

School-Based Program for Improving Disaster Preparedness among Indonesian Adolescents in Earthquake Risk Area: A Randomized Control Trial

Background: Indonesia is known as the home of disasters and this condition threatens the safety of the Indonesian people. Strengthening community capacity is still not optimal and school-based programs need to be carried out to prepare the younger generation to face earthquakes. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the school-based program on improving disaster preparedness (SBPIDP) among Indonesian adolescents in the earthquake risk area. Methods: A randomized control trial was performed among 140 (INT=70; CON=70) adolescents in Indonesia in 2022. The SBPIDP lasted for 10 wk providing eight sessions of education and training activities. Data collection tools included a three-part questionnaire that consisted of demographics, knowledge, and self-efficacy for earthquake preparedness. The inter-group and intra-group differences were evaluated using paired t-test analysis, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) used to assess intervention effectiveness. Results: There were significant differences in disaster preparedness among adolescents after the SBPIDP program was implemented after follow-up in the 10th week (knowledge (P=0.001) and self-efficacy (P=0.001)). The intervention group showed better preparedness than the control group during the follow-up period. Conclusion: The SBPIDP program can significantly improve disaster preparedness among Indonesian adolescents in earthquake-risk areas.

Menggali Kearifan Lokal Melalui Tradisi Melemang 10 Muharram

Melemang tradition is a form of local wisdom of the people of Karang Raja Village, Muara Enim, which is held every 10th of Muharram. This tradition not only has cultural values, but also has social and religious values such as gotong royong, caring, and sharing. However, in the midst of modernisation and the declining interest of the younger generation in traditional culture, the question arises of how best to keep the Melemang tradition from disappearing. The purpose of this research is to study ways to preserve the Melemang culture and develop methods that can be used to introduce the culture to the general public. This research uses a descriptive-analytical approach and a qualitative approach through, interviews, and literature research. The results showed that the involvement of the younger generation is necessary to preserve the Melemang tradition. It is hoped that this effort will strengthen cultural identity and introduce the melemang tradition to the general public.

Menanamkan Nilai Gotong Royong melalui Kearifan Lokal Desa Penglipuran

Gotong royong is a cultural value deeply embedded in Indonesian society, especially in Penglipuran Village, Bali. This village preserves local wisdom that prioritizes togetherness and cooperation in various aspects of life. This study aims to analyze the implementation of gotong royong values in the daily lives of Penglipuran residents and how these values are taught to younger generations. Using a qualitative method with in-depth interviews, the findings reveal that gotong royong is practiced in environmental cleanliness, traditional ceremonies, and other social activities. These values are passed down through informal education within families and project-based activities in schools. Despite the lack of financial support from the government, the community maintains the spirit of gotong royong through social sanctions for those who do not participate. This study highlights how local wisdom can serve as an effective medium for instilling the values of gotong royong in younger generations.

Methodology of initial teaching of football to primary school children in the process of extra-curricular activities

The article examines the aspect of training young football players at the stage of initial training: health promotion, promotion of proper physical development and versatile physical fitness; development of speed, agility, flexibility, speed-strength qualities; teaching the basics of game technique and tactics; accustoming to game conditions; instilling in students a steady interest in football. The authors presented a brief analysis of the process of training students, which creates the prerequisites for successful mastery of a wide range of technical processes, achieving a high level of special physical fitness at the subsequent stages of the multi-year training process. The problem raised in the article is one of the main tasks of the state in the field of education - caring for the health of the nation, raising a physically fit younger generation. Thus, it was assumed that the development of a specially selected set of exercises will make it possible to carry out the initial training of children's technical actions in the process of extracurricular football activities, as well as to increase their physical fitness indicators.
