The Development of Medical Skills Through Human Resources Management in Griya Sehat Shareeah, Depok City

In the era of globalization, traditional therapy clinics are required to ensure high personnel performance in providing services to the community, especially patients as the object of service. The low level of knowledge of health workers regarding health credential management affects the performance and quality of services in clinics. The aim of the health workers credential training activity is to improve the quality of health services at Griya Sehat Shareeah, Depok City. The community service activity was attended by 13 health workers from Griya Sehat Shareeah. Training is carried out with several practice sessions and an ongoing training program that focuses on technical and moral support efforts. The results of training show that there are differences in the level of knowledge after being given training to health workers. Thus, credential management training using lectures and practice methods can increase health workers knowledge about credential management and strengthen knowledge of the competence and authority of health workers at Griya Sehat Shareeah in providing health services so as to improve service quality. In the end, Griya Sehat Shareeah became an exemplary model that was able to combine traditional medicine with modern medicine in society.

Citizenship behaviors against organizational interests: perceived follower support and supervisor competence uncertainty

PurposeAdopting a followership perspective and drawing upon the literature on perceived support, we provide new theoretical insights into when and why supervisors engage in unethical behavior with the intention of benefiting a “favorite” follower, referred to as unethical favoritism behavior (UFB).Design/methodology/approachWe conducted two studies: an experiment and a multi-rater field study. Data were collected and analyzed using AMOS and the Macro process for SPSS.FindingsWe found that a follower’s standing among his or her peers in terms of citizenship behaviors toward their supervisor (i.e. relative organizational citizenship behaviors toward supervisor or ROCBS) has a positive effect on the supervisor’s perception of the follower’s support. The results further reveal that the choice of the supervisor on whether to reciprocate or not the perceived support (triggered by ROCBS) with UFB depends on the supervisor’s competence uncertainty (i.e. the degree of supervisor uncertainty regarding his/her work competencies).Originality/valueOur findings broaden the way the supervisor–follower relationship has traditionally been investigated in the organizational behavior literature by showing that under certain circumstances, followers’ good behaviors might become an antecedent to supervisors’ unethical acts.

Analysis of Factors Afeective Employee Performance At BKPSDM Payakumbuh City Using Binary Logistic Regression

This research aimed to examine the factors influencing employee performance at Payakumbuh City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). Using binary logistic regression, the dependent variable (Y) represented employee performance, while the independent variables included work initiative, discipline, qualifications, competence, and leadership. The analysis revealed that competence and leadership significantly impacted employee performance. These findings highlighted the critical role of competency development and leadership strengthening in enhancing employee performance. The binary logistic regression results indicated that 16 employees exhibited low performance, while 15 employees demonstrated high performance. Recommendations were made, including the need for the development of employee competencies, enhancement of leadership capabilities, monitoring of discipline and work initiatives, and periodic evaluation of qualifications. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to contribute to improved employee performance and service quality at BKPSDM Payakumbuh City.

Analisis Ilustrasi Manajemen Pelatihan dan Keterampilan Pekerja Tambang Di PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. (Sebuah Pendekatan Deskriptif Terhadap Implementasi dan Peran Manajemen Pelatihan dan Keterampilan Pada SDM Tambang)

Mining workers are crucial human resources in operating mining production processes, in addition to machinery and digital equipment. These workers possess specialized, specific, and complex skills, facing significant risks both to human lives (mortality) and corporate assets. Therefore, nurturing, developing, and enhancing their well-being, particularly in knowledge and skills (both soft skills and hard skills), are the main focus of this study. This research aims to illustrate the management of training and skills for mining workers at PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. and analyze it descriptively in terms of realization, achievements, and objectives. The subjects of this research are the Operation and Waste Management divisions at SMBR. This study employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques involving triangulation, yielding findings that show: 1) Training and skills are worker competency standards, 2) Training and skills are necessary to fulfill competency and certification requirements, 3) Training is tailored to job positions, and 4) Competency evaluation and job rotation practices are implemented. The conclusion is that SMBR has adequately implemented training and skill management, covering both soft and hard skills. Hard skills are reflected in training aligned with Ministerial Regulation of Energy and Mineral Resources (Permen ESDM) No. 1827, while soft skills are included in in-house training implementation.

Implementation of CTL-Based Practicum Learning Method on the Achievement of Students' Work Competencies at SMKN Winongan

This study aims to explore the influence of blockchain technology on financial transparency and its implications for auditing and compliance in corporate accounting culture. Using qualitative methods through literature studies, this study collects and analyzes various relevant sources to understand how the application of blockchain can improve transparency in financial reporting. The results show that blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize accounting practices by providing a more transparent and reliable system, which in turn can strengthen audit and compliance processes. Additionally, the study identifies the challenges companies face in integrating these technologies, including the need for organizational culture change and training for accounting professionals. The implications of these findings suggest that blockchain adoption not only affects the technical aspects, but also requires adjustments in the company's internal policies and procedures to achieve maximum benefits. This research provides important insights for academics and practitioners on how blockchain can be a strategic tool in improving financial transparency and strengthening the integrity of financial statements in the digital era.

Foster parents’ encounters with the system: the importance of child welfare workers’ traits in promoting satisfaction with the foster care system

ABSTRACT Despite the substantial role child welfare workers play in the foster care system, few studies have examined how their traits contribute to foster parents’ satisfaction with the foster care system. This study addresses this gap using a survey of 515 Danish foster parents. Results showed that competence, trust, and favorable decisions had significant and independent effects on foster parent satisfaction, while warmth and acknowledgment did not. These findings emphasize the need to prioritize trust and competence in child welfare workers’ interactions with foster parents to enhance satisfaction and address recruitment and retention challenges in the foster care system.

The Mediating Role of Locus of Control: The Effect of Work Discipline and Competence on Employee Performance

Using employees' sense of agency as a moderator, this research will look at how job competency and discipline affect productivity. Although competence and work discipline are both critical components of employee performance, this study found no evidence that work discipline had a substantial impact on performance. Contrarily, competence has a favorable and substantial effect on productivity in the workplace. The association between work discipline and employee performance was found to be significantly moderated by locus of control, which describes individuals' ideas about control over their work outcomes. As the data shows, workers who place their sense of agency inside themselves are more likely to take the initiative to enforce rules and regulations in the workplace that will boost productivity. But since locus of control isn't a mediator in the connection between competence and performance, it follows that competence has sufficient influence on performance to warrant its own mediation. A quantitative descriptive methodology based on a path analysis technique is employed in this work. 150 employees from different departments were chosen at random to make up the sample. The results offer light on the need for management to place a greater emphasis on providing employees with appropriate training and education to build their capabilities and on fostering an environment where workers feel they have some say in the results of their job. In terms of enhancing employee performance, competence was the most important component. Work discipline was also crucial, but it needed psychological variables like locus of control to really make a difference.

INTERACTIVE TRAINING OF PERSONNEL ON ELECTRICAL SAFETY ISSUES FOR AN OIL PUMPING COMPANY

The article is devoted to electrical safety issues in the oil industry, where a significant proportion of injuries are associated with personnel errors in the performance of their work functions. In order to reduce personnel errors and, consequently, reduce the level of injuries and accidents associated with the action of the human factor, a simulator has been developed for training employees of an oil pumping enterprise in the safe handling of electrical equipment. The article analyzes modern approaches to training, including traditional methods and the use of simulators that simulate both current work and emergency situations. Practical application of such solutions will improve the competence of workers in electrical safety issues by practicing the skills of performing work in conditions close to real ones, which emphasizes the relevance of developing simulators for the oil industry. The simulator includes the creation of an intuitive interface and integration with training management systems, consisting of two modules covering safety procedures, working with electrical equipment and filling out work permits. In conclusion, areas for further research are outlined, including the development of new modules to improve work efficiency.

Professional competencies in social work concerned with alcohol use problems in Lithuania: Moving beyond 'know-how'.

Aims: There has been relatively little research on professional competencies in social work with individuals with alcohol use problems. The present study investigates the patterns of competencies and abilities that constitute different competence dimensions in this field of social work. Additionally, the study attempts to confirm the validity and assess the reliability in the use of the Perceived Social Work Competence Scale (PSWCS) for measuring professional competencies in Lithuania. Exploratory factor analysis was used for both purposes. Methods: First, the translated scale's reliability and validity were examined, after which an interpretative competence dimension analysis was performed. Results: The study shows that the translated scale, consisting of 30 items covering eight competence dimensions (consultation, emotional support, case management, professional resilience, retrospective consultation, team working, community work and relationship formation), demonstrates strong reliability. Conclusions:The study provides insight into the ways in which Lithuanian social workers employ a combination of procedural and meta-competencies with field-specific characteristics in their work with alcohol use problems.

Impact of work competencies on job performance among university counsellors.

This study aims to examine the relationship between work competency factors-namely knowledge, skills, traits, motives, and self-concepts-and job performance among university counsellors in China. Data were collected from 310 university counsellors using multiple sampling techniques. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), via Smart-PLS version 3.3.2, was employed for data analysis. The findings revealed that four competency factors-knowledge, skills, traits, and motives-were significantly related to job performance among university counsellors in Hunan Province. These results contribute to a deeper understanding of the impact of work competencies on job performance. It can provide valuable insights for administrators and policymakers aiming to improve the competencies and performance of university counsellors, as well as to enhance the overall development of the counselling team.

The Relevance of the Curriculum of Vocational High School (SMK) In Machining Engineering to the Needs of the Industrial Workforce in The Yogyakarta

This study aims to: (1) Analyze the core competencies of the 2013 Curriculum in Mechanical Engineering taught at vocational schools (SMK), (2) Analyze the competency requirements of the workforce in the industry, (3) Compare the relevance of core competencies in Mechanical Engineering at SMK with the competency requirements of the industry workforce. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The validity of the research instrument was assessed internally by expert lecturers and externally by the industry representatives of PT. Sinar Mulia Teknalum and PT. Harimukti Teknik. The study subjects consisted of four industries in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely PT. Yogyakarta Presisi Tehnikatama Industri, PT. Harimukti Teknik, PT. Madani Technologi, and PT. MBG Putra Mandiri. Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data obtained was analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. The study results indicate that: 1. The core competencies of the 2013 mechanical engineering curriculum taught in vocational schools include (a) Technical Drawing competency, taught at SMK at 93.3%, (b) Basic Mechanical Work competency, taught at SMK at 88%, and (c) Mechanical Engineering Design competency, taught at SMK at 35%. 2. The Mechanical Engineering curriculum at SMK aligns with industry workforce requirements in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Research results show that Technical Drawing competency is categorized as 45% Highly Relevant and 55% Relevant. Basic Mechanical Work competency is 80% Highly Relevant. Mechanical Engineering Design competency is categorized as 93.7% Relevant.

Cultural Competence Among Nursing Students in Pakistan: A Literature Review

Today's nursing practice mostly draws on cultural competence in light of patients' diverse needs. This literature review explores ways in which structural learning techniques, such as settings like clinics, simulations, and in vivo cultural learning, could strengthen the teaching of cultural competencies in nursing training. Aim: To evaluate the progression of cultural competence and various educational interventions' effectiveness for the advancement of the culture, after taking into account the most relevant research works such as Leininger's Transcultural Nursing Theory and Social Identity Theory. Different research has proven that cultural competence reduces health inequities and improves patients' outcomes, satisfaction, and adherence to treatments. However, despite these benefits, many educational institutions face many challenges, especially in Pakistan. The different cultural barriers to the training initiative include language problems, gender conventions, and resources. The review findings provide a basis for calling for organized programs, tying the theoretical construction together with effective practical experience. The most crucial aspect in conducting such a gap-closing, culturally competency-building program lies in the necessity to use only evidence-based training methods. More study should be focused on long-term studies and high-tech techniques, such as simulation-based learning, to better promote culturally competent care in nursing education. To enhance their readiness to offer equitable treatment in multicultural settings, especially in culturally variant countries like Pakistan, it will be essential to strengthen the cultural competency of healthcare workers.

From global imaginaries to local realities: marginalisation of multilingual identities in post-study abroad contexts

ABSTRACT There is growing recognition that study abroad is seen as a resource for shaping neoliberal subjects who possess the skills to join a mobile, globalised workforce. While existing research has explored the advantages study abroad offers sojourners in their careers, less attention has been accorded to how individuals experience return contexts in light of these social imaginaries of study abroad. This paper utilises theories of scale and positioning to examine the return experiences of 12 Japanese high-school students who spent a year abroad in various locations. Through qualitative analysis of interviews conducted a year after their return, our findings illustrate how the linguistic resources acquired by the informants abroad were marginalised within the local scale of the return classroom, particularly in languages other than English. Further, the results show how upon return, the informants struggled to occupy legitimate Japanese identities and were instead positioned as outsiders. We therefore argue that the tensions between globalising imaginaries of study abroad and local imaginaries of identity create a disjuncture, with ramifications for sojourners’ desire and ability to maintain multilingual repertoires cultivated abroad. This has implications for both individuals who elect to study abroad and for wider policy aims to develop globally competent workers.

Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Pelayanan Petugas Puskesmas di UPT BLUD Puskesmas Pemenang Kabupaten Lombok Utara

This study aims to identify the dominant factors that influence the performance of health services at the UPT BLUD Puskesmas Pemenang. This study used a cross-sectional design with 60 respondents. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires. Data analysis used Spearman correlation to test the relationship between variables such as competence, discipline, and service facilities, and their impact on service quality. The results showed that (1) the competence and discipline of health workers were the most significant factors influencing service performance; (2) competence showed a strong positive correlation with service performance (ρ = 0.828, p < 0.001), which means that skilled staff can provide more effective services; (3) discipline had a substantial positive impact (ρ = 0.760, p < 0.001), which means that the importance of compliance with protocols and schedules; (4) the availability of adequate facilities had a moderate effect on service performance (ρ = 0.342, p = 0.008). This confirms that improving the performance of health services in Community Health Centers requires a comprehensive approach, so that continuous professional development to improve staff competence, discipline enforcement, and strategic investment in service infrastructure is very important.

The Employee Performance Management of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health Center of Seruyan Regency in Improving Public Services.

This research aims to analyze the quality of animal health service management at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Animal Health Center of Seruyan Regency using the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management approach. Conducted from June 1 to September 1, 2024, this study employs a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Data were collected through literature reviews, direct observations, and interviews with staff and management involved in the service delivery process. The findings reveal that the service planning at the UPTD Animal Health Center and Veterinary Public Health has not effectively engaged farmers, which has resulted in a disconnect between the programs offered and the actual needs of the farming community. Although the internal organization of the center is assessed as practical, the accessibility of services for farmers residing in remote areas remains a significant concern that requires attention. The execution of veterinary health services showcases the competence and skills of health workers. However, there are notable deficiencies in communication and the availability of information that hinder effective service delivery. Furthermore, the existing control system does not adequately accommodate user feedback, highlighting an urgent need for enhanced communication channels. Overall, this research aims to provide actionable recommendations to improve the quality of veterinary health services in Seruyan Regency, ultimately fostering a more responsive and user-centered service environment. The insights gained from this study will contribute to the ongoing efforts to align veterinary health services with the community's needs, ensuring better health outcomes for livestock and the farming population.

Competencies of Social Workers at the Sentra Terpadu Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Following the Multi-Service System Transformation

The transformation of social service centers into integrated service centers within the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has brought significant changes to the management and practice of social services. This transformation demands that social workers adapt from providing specific services to multi-service approaches for various beneficiary groups. The policy aims to optimize the function of Technical Implementation Units (UPT) as extensions of the Ministry of Social Affairs in regional areas. This study focuses on the Sentra Terpadu Pangudi Luhur in Bekasi, one of the largest centers in Indonesia, to explore the competencies of social workers in addressing these challenges. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and observations involving social workers and the center's management. The results indicate that several dimensions of social worker competencies at the Sentra Terpadu Pangudi Luhur Bekasi do not fully meet the standards set out in Ministerial Regulation No. 12 of 2017 on Social Worker Competency Standards. These underdeveloped competency dimensions include Knowledge, General Skills, Specialized Skills, and Attitude. Social workers without an educational background in social welfare/social work tend to rely on practical experience, while those with such an educational background are more capable of integrating theory into practice. The study identifies competency gaps affecting service quality, with social workers from non-social work backgrounds often making intuitive decisions. Furthermore, challenges in the "inpassing" process highlight the need for a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of beneficiaries. These findings highlight the importance of continuous competency development and adaptive education for social workers to meet the increasingly complex demands of services and to respond effectively to the needs of society.

Talent management in volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) health environment, nurses’ psychological contract fulfillment, cordial relation and generation: moderation-mediation model

BackgroundThe VUCA in the healthcare environment requires combating volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity through highly talented employees and implementing a talent management strategy. This encompasses a range of operations designed to find, attract, nurture, and utilize competent workers that impact how well nurses fulfill their psychological contracts. However, as the researchers had anticipated, several factors, such as cordial relationships and generation differences, may mediate or influence this correlation.MethodsFor a cross-sectional study, a non-probability convenience sampling technique was used to include n = 375 nurses from among the 600 total nurses at three private hospitals in Alexandria, Egypt. Three validated measures were used to measure the study variables and develop a mediation-moderation structural equation model.ResultsThe result of this study revealed that nurses perceived a moderate level of talent management with a mean score of (48.91 ± 18.15), a low mean score (8.89 ± 3.93) of psychological contract fulfillment, and a moderate mean score (185.11 ± 27.02) of cordial relation. Additionally, more than half of the participants were in the Gen Z. Also, this study concluded that there is a positive mediation role of cordial relation and a negative moderation role of Gen between talent management and psychological contract fulfillment.ConclusionsUsing Gen as a moderating variable and cordial relations as a mediating factor, a moderating mediating structural equation model is created and validates the important influence of talent management on nurses’ psychological fulfillment, confirming the mediating effect of cordial relations and the moderating effect of genes in this relationship. GEN negatively predicted psychological contract fulfillment, meaning baby boomers predicted more psychological contract fulfillment than Z gen. Furthermore, talent management could positively predict cordial relations and psychological contract fulfillment, and cordial relations partially mediated the relationship between talent management and psychological contract fulfillment. Nurse mangers should be aware of and implement effective and talent management strategies with respecting gen difference, and apply tailored strategies for fostering nurses’ cordial relation and psychological contract fulfillment to deal with the VUCA challenging healthcare environment.

Development of an Education and Training Program for New Intensive Care Unit Staff: Ladders to Success

The nursing manpower shortage intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, inadequate clinical internship durations during this period led to recent nursing graduates reflecting insufficient clinical skills. These issues, coupled with the inherent complexity of work in intensive care units (ICUs), have increased stress and decreased self-confidence among new staff, leading to higher turnover rates. This study was designed to develop and then evaluate the effectiveness of a tailored ladderized training program for improving clinical care skills and self-confidence in new ICU staff. An individualized ladderized training program for new staff was developed based on the conceptual PDDRO (plan, design, do, review, outcome) framework. In addition to the program, a 3-stage critical care training regimen was implemented to strengthen technical, physical assessment and judgment, and communication and teamwork skills. A multivariate evaluation approach was employed to evaluate the level to which participants improved in terms of clinical skills and self-confidence, and a competency-related personalized training model was used to guide their progress until all of the training goals were achieved. Fifty new staff members completed the 3-stage critical care training program. In terms of program effectiveness, mean scores increased from 79.3 (pretest) to 92.3 (posttest) for awareness and 1.69 to 2.53 for work competency self-confidence. These increases were significant, and indicated the participants had collectively improved from "some self-confidence" to "a lot of self-confidence". Moreover, the retention rate of new staff increased from 75% before the intervention to 84% afterward. Interviews with the participants found the program had improved their mastery of clinical care skills and confidence in their future ability to perform care tasks. Advance implementation of ladderized training can facilitate the establishment of a new nursing staff training system in hospitals to improve the post-pandemic recovery and reconstruction of nursing manpower systems in Taiwan. This program may serve as a successful model for training new staff and retaining human resources as part of the ongoing effort to promote a stable and high-quality workplace environment for nurses.

The Effect Of Work Competency And Compensation On Teachers' Organizational Commitment

Commitment to each member of the organization is very important because with a commitment, a member of the organization can be more responsible for his work. This study aims to determine: The Effect of Work Competence and Compensation on Organizational Commitment moderated by Job Satisfaction of Junior High School Teachers in Bandar Pasir Mandoge District. The population of this study was all Junior High School teachers in Bandar Pasir Mandoge District, totaling 79 teachers, while the sample taken from the entire population was 79 people by taking a census sample. Data were collected using a questionnaire filled out by respondents from teachers, then the data was processed using regression analysis. The results of the study showed that: work competence (X1) has a direct positive effect on organizational commitment (Y) shown that = 0.238 and significance> 0.05; compensation (X2) has a direct positive effect on organizational commitment (Y) shown that = 0.337 and significance> 0.05. .

PENGARUH PROFESIONALISME KERJA, KOMPETENSI DAN LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PADA DINAS KESEHATAN PROVINSI MALUKU

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of Work Professionalism, Competence and Non-Physical Work Environment simultaneously on the performance of employees of the Maluku Provincial Health Office. The population in this study amounted to 116. Determination of the number of samples using probality random sampling techniques with the Slovin formula obtained 54 respondents, the analytical test tool used was SPSS 24. Data processing techniques carried out using quantitative methods with descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that Work Professionalism has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, while Competence and Non-Physical Work Environment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.
